Getting Here

The ICTIR 2015 Conference and tutorials will be held at the Hotel Northampton (36 King Street, Northampton, Massachusetts).

By Plane:

The closest, and most convenient, aiport to Northampton, MA is Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford/Windsor Locks, Connecticut.  The airport is 40 miles from the Hotel Northampton.

Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, Massachusetts is 105 miles from the Hotel Northampton. Logan serves 42 overseas markets with nonstop service.

By Automobile:

Both Bradley International Airport and Logan International Airport have most major car rental facilities on premises.  There is also an Enterprise Car Rental facility close to the Hotel Northampto (located at 24 N. King Street, Northampton, MA 01060; 1-413-586-5177; www.enterprise.com; limited evening and weekend hours).

Directions to the Hotel Northampton:

From Boston (Logan International Airport) and East:
Take Mass Turnpike West (I-90) to exit 4 (I-91 North) to exit 18. Take a left at the bottom of the ramp onto Route 5. The Hotel Northampton is on the left just past the first light (approximately 1 mile).

From Albany and West:
Take Mass Turnpike East (I-90) to exit 4 (I-91 North) to exit 18. Take a left at the bottom of the ramp onto Route 5. The Hotel Northampton is on the left just past the first light (approximately 1 mile).

From NYC, Bradley International Airport, and South:
Take I-91 North (to Massachusetts) to exit 18. Take a left at the bottom of the ramp onto Route 5. The Hotel Northampton is on the left just past the first light (approximately 1 mile).

From Vermont and North:
Take I-91 South (to Massachusetts) to exit 20. Merge onto Route 5 & King Street. The Hotel Northampton is on the right (approximately 1.5 miles).

The Hotel Northampton is located at 36 King Street, Northampton, Massachusetts.

By Shuttle (from Airport or Train Station):

Valley Transporter (http://www.valleytransporter.com) And Seemo Shuttle (http://www.seemoshuttle.com) provide door-to-door round-trip service to Bradley International Airport and Logan International Airport.

By Public Bus Transportation:

Peter Pan Bus Lines (http://peterpanbus.com/) provides transportation from Boston's Logan International Airport to Northampton.   When purchasing tickets, choose "Boston Logan Arpt, MA" to  "Northampton, MA"  (see info. on the Logan Airport bus stop location). Tickets should be purchased and printed prior to travel. The Northampton bus station is .3 mile from the Hotel Northampton. The bus from Boston to Northampton takes approximately 4 hours with a morning departure; 5 hours for late afternoon/evening departure. From Northampton to Boston on Thursday morning, the express takes 3.5 hours.

By Train:

Amtrak train service from Boston (South Station; Amtrak station code "BOS") now includes a stop in Northampton, MA (NHT station); though travel from Boston to the Springfield, MA station may be a much quicker option (you would need to get a taxi or other transportation from Springfield to Northampton). Note that Boston's South Station is not on-site of Logan International Airport, so you will need to take public transportation from Logan to South Station (via the Silver Line SL1). From Boston to Northampton, the train takes between 4 hours and 4.75 hours (depending upon the time of departure). Return trip from Northampton to Boston takes between 3.5 to 3.75 hours. There is no train transportation directly from Bradley International Airport.  Check the schedule at amtrak.com.
